TP-LINK EAP653 AX3000 ceiling-mountable Access Point

The TP-LINK EAP653 is a ceiling-mount Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point rated for up to 3000 Mbps combined wireless throughput. It delivers 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 2402 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, which helps keep performance steady when many devices connect at once. Support for 160 MHz channels allows higher peak data rates over a single spatial stream.

The access point can be managed locally or from the cloud through Omada SDN integration, using a web interface or the Omada app. Omada Mesh enables wireless links between access points to extend coverage and give installers more flexibility in placement. According to the manufacturer, video streams and voice calls are not affected when users move between access points.

Power is supplied via 802.3at PoE+, with a DC adapter available separately. The low-profile housing measures 160 mm in diameter and 33.6 mm in height and weighs 500 g, allowing discreet installation on a ceiling.
