The GoPro MISSION 1 is a compact cinema camera system designed for storytellers. It combines a 50 MP, 1-inch CMOS sensor with the energy-efficient GP3 processor and a 159-degree wide-angle lens. Video can be recorded in 8K at 30 fps, in 4K at up to 120 fps and in 1080p at 240 fps in 16:9, and a 4K120 Open Gate mode in 4:3 is also available.

With up to 14 stops of dynamic range, 10-bit colour with GP-Log2 and a 240 Mbps bitrate, the footage offers room for demanding grading. The camera is waterproof to 20 metres without a housing. Four microphones, 32-bit float audio recording, Bluetooth 5.3 and a 2.59-inch touchscreen complete the setup. The battery is rated for over three hours of recording in 4K30 on a single charge.
