The AXAGON PCEE-G50 PCIe 5 Gigabit Ethernet is a network card for desktop computers, workstations and servers, providing Ethernet speeds of up to 5 Gbit/s. It uses a PCIe 3.1 x1 interface and also fits x4, x8 and x16 PCIe slots. Its single RJ-45 port automatically negotiates 1, 2.5 or 5 Gbit/s, according to the connected network device.
The card supports IEEE 802.3ab and IEEE 802.3bz, as well as PXE, Wake-on-LAN, VLAN and Jumbo Frames up to 16 KB. A PCIe 3.0 or newer slot is required to reach 5 Gbit/s, and Cat 6 cabling is recommended for that speed. A passive heatsink keeps operation silent. The card is designed for Windows and Linux.
